GERARD CASTELLVI

GERARD CASTELLVI was born in 1986 in Montblanc, Tarragona (Spain). He studied Graphic Design, Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona, and drawing and painting at the Florence Academy of Art. He studied with Antonio, Lopez, Golucho, Sangram Majumdar, Max Ginsburg and Stuart Shils. Gerard presently lives and works in Barcelona. He is currently Director of the Painting and Drawing at the Barcelona Academy of Art.
His work is part of the permanent collection of the MEAM, The European Museum of Modern Art after being selected in the international competition Figurativas’15 and Figuratuvas’17 and also part of the permanent collection of The Royal Academy of Barcelona. He also exhibited at “Represent”, London, U.K. Wiespach Shloss Gallery in Salrzburg, Austria, The Makers Madrid, Spain, La Plataforma Gallery and El Claustre Gallery, Barcelona, Spain.
