MARTA RUIZ is a twenty-one-year-old Spanish multidisciplinary artist. She combines pictorial tradition and the avant-garde, through conceptual art.
Her detailed and realistic artworks feed form her surroundings. She does so by collecting personal objects and moments, leaving them engraved in her art. Interested in human relationships, she seeks a new communicative dimension between spectator and artwork, integrating the audience in it and making them part of the creative act. Her art questions the everyday life in an ironic and satiric way, taking out of context objects and familiar procedures. Doing so she arouses reflection upon the viewer, leaving them to wonder where the boundary between art and life rests.
